Blessed Adolph Kolping Education Foundation, (BAKEF) is a non-profit making / civil society organization working to improve education in Kakumiro district and Uganda at large.
We collaborate with local communities, civil society organizations (CSOs) and community based organizations (CBOs) who undertake joint advocacy to influence government policy and campaign for change in the education sector.
BAKEF is committed to making possible the actual provision and improvement of educational facilities and infrastructure as well as linking people to policy and best practice for better quality, affordable and appropriate education at all levels in the country.
BAKEF believes that as civil society we are a vital contributor to the development of high quality education standards for all Ugandans regardless of location, economic status, religious or political affiliation, etc. Our work depends on the active involvement of all stakeholders and partners and is defined by what the community wants to focus on. Most of our work compliments the efforts of the public sector and helps to set a good example of responding positively to the felt needs of the community with future generations in mind.
Our focus is addresses specific thematic areas identified by members and partners who come together to campaign on different issues.
